Asked for a recycle can 4 years ago they said they didnt have any .Last week they gave my neighbor a second one. They suck and dont care about recycling or the environment .

We have had Republic trash services since they bought out our previous service provider. Initially, service continued as before, some weeks they showed up on time, some weeks they were a day late, but typically picked up every week. For some reason, this ended about 3 weeks ago for the majority of users in our area. Customer service is unresponsive and we are now into week 3 of no pickup, although we are paid through the end of the month. This is the WORST company. My trash cans were delivered a week late and COVERED in filth. Shockingly dirty and when I called, I was told another couldn’t be delivered for at least a week. The customer service rep didn’t even seem to care that I was trying to resolve the issue without canceling my services. After years of ridiculously awful service and horrible customer service, we finally canceled Republic Services as our private hauler for trash pickup. Please be aware if you are thinking about signing up for service through them, at the time you cancel services, they will charge you a large fee to pick up their cans (their property). The fee we are being charged is $62. I spoke to a supervisor who said that the fee is non-negotiable and admitted that this fee is not shared with new customers that are signing on for service. ... read more
After an 18% rate hike, I tried to cancel services. The company will not let me cancel services until the end of the month. They charged me an entire quarter of service when only 1 week was used. AutoPayment still active AFTER I canceled it. Their Customer Service was zero help in resolving any of this.... I was told that this was their "policy" although I did not agree to any of it.

Republic Services often fails to pick up my garbage. They offer no apology when they fail to do so. They insist you pay the full bill regardless of how many times they skip your bins. And if you're even a day late paying the bill, there is no grace period. They slap on a late fee! They don't care if you're unemployed, never got a coronavirus stimulus payment, or whatever. They're happy to put a lien on your house!

They buy out other companies, jack up the price, then charge unreasonable fees when you cancel services. Nobody seems to be able to help, they say that they will put in a request. That's a fancy way of saying they don't care and aren't going to help! They clearly don't care about their reviews after reading all the ones here. I highly recommend using ANY other company but this one for trash services.

I have had Republic Services for over 20 years and have ordered a temporary dumpster twice. This second dumpster order was the worst. The process from first call to actually getting the dumpster delivered was over 2 weeks. When I called to inquire on the cost for an empty service, I was bounced back and forth with multiple call center reps who were clueless and only transferred me to other attendants with wait times ranging from 20 to 40 minutes.
