After a number of missed pickups over the past few years with no explanation as to why, we cancelled our service in October 2020. I was told about the fee for picking up our receptacles. I was a customer of Republic Services for 12 years in Cassville, MO. I cancelled my service in December 2020. Now I've received a bill for almost $50 to pick up the trash can I rented from them for 12 years. WHAT A RIP OFF!!!!!! Had I known 12 years ago they would end things this way I would have never used their service in the first place. If I could give 0 stars I would. Been calling every week since December of 2020 because of missed trash pick up. Been escalated several times with no change in service. This past week(3/1/21) I had to once again call and was escalated and a supervisor called me back. I was told my trash would be picked up by Thursday 3/4/21. Came in to work and my trash on 3/5/21 is still at the curb. We never had these problems when our trash was picked up by the city. They have missed picking up my garbage three weeks in a row now, which is normal for them. They are supposed to pick it up once a week. The power was out for several days, so this is their excuse. The week after that, they blamed the downed trees that were removed from the road several days before, and ice on the road when it was 60 degrees outside. This week, they didn't have an excuse. My bill has continually gone up in substantial amounts (over $13 in less than 3 months and that was after a huge increase a year ago!) My biggest issue is that the charges of the containers is not consistent in an area. I have a 1.5 dumpster and my neighbor has a 3.0 dumpster. We signed up for service within a month or two of each other years ago. I am paying more for my small dumpster than my neighbor pays for their larger one! So, they have not picked up the recycling in two weeks. When I called to get a credit for lack of service the customer service rep said "...you don't pay for recycling removal you only pay for trash removal so there is no credit to be given.. You invoice only says trash removal not recycling removal...." Their site says they do "...yard debris, recycling and trash removal...". I'm guessing they will pick up everyone in Fairfax County recycling for free, wethor you are a paying member or not. The worst part about this company... read more

My trash containers have been vandalized. I have called four times to have them replaced, and every time, customer services schedules a pickup, only to have no one show up. Last week, they left a note on my door that they "missed me" and that they couldn't pick up the vandalized containers because the containers weren't on the curb. Called for a mattress pick up 4 times and after 4 weeks they tell me it was improperly wrapped.( i wrapped it with clear wrap then spent the 25 bucks at Lowes for a mattress bag) when i reality from my blink camera i watched a puny driver try to lift it then put it back where it was and claimed it wasn't wrapped correctly! my wife called for the 5th time and the lady from Dayton office hung up on her. worst ever...to bad you cant give them negative stars!

I ordered a 40 yd dumpster online, the company delivered a 30 yarder, Then when I called customer service I was shifted around to several different representatives that were very rude and they did not take care of what I needed. Come the following Monday I received an email from a account manager offering me a $100. I told him that I should have gotten the 10 yrds i was short for free and he just said nothing in return.
