My parents have used Republic Services as their waste hauler for many years. Recently my mother said her bill had gone up. I looked at her bill and it was for a monthly charge of $359.74 for one month of weekly waste pick-up. I was horrified and cancelled their service immediately. I can only think they were taking advantage of senior citizens. No one in the universe should be paying that much for garbage hauling. My town has elected to begin trash service with Waste Management therefore, I no longer need Republic Services. I have tried repeatedly to cancel my service but I keep getting the run-around. Every customer service representative says they don't have the authority to close my account and refers me to another division of Republic. I've been trying to cancel my service for over a week and a half via the customer support phone that never gets answered. Over 7 hours on hold on numerous calls always getting cut off. Will not pay any further bills for further service. This is completely unacceptable.

It has been over a week since they picked up my yard waste. I've called four times in the past week to have them pick it up, each time they say they'll come the next day. There is no accountability with this company, I don't' trust anything they say. I called Republic to get pricing on new residential service. They put a flier in our mailbox advertising a special rate. When I called, after waiting on hold for almost an hour, the representative confirmed that the rate was a special (teaser rate) for new customers in our area and the rate would go up. When I asked how long the teaser rate would last and how much the rate would increase, she said she couldn't tell me that. I declined to begin service and the conversation ended. I pay for trash pickup twice a week. They only pick my trash up about half the time. I watched them drive by without stopping and when I called and complained I was told they are running behind. On top of this they doubled the price of trash pick up.

I am handicapped. I had been generally satisfied with the arrangement I had with Republic Services. Stephen *****, an RS representative, said that they would take my containers out, empty them, and bring them back if I left my containers out in front of my garage door. Then, about a year later, I found that the recycle collectors had taken my container out to the curb but had not returned it. After speaking with 5 representatives- Shanae, Brenda, Darla, Bryan Doyle, and Theodore- one being a supervisor, I have a queen size mattress that has been in my driveway since March 10, 2021 awaiting pick-up due to their lack of professionalism, and Republic Services is now refusing pick-up even though it says bulk pickup “complete” when I login online. I have yet to get a call back regarding why my online account reflects a blatant lie. I would NOT recommend this business to anyone! I will be shopping my trash service!

This company is a fraud! I ordered new service when they agreed to waive one of the $47 container deliver fees. I received my first bill and the fee wasn't waived. In addition there was an additional $49.95 of other fees they didn't disclose when I signed up. This is fraud. I tried to call customer serivce. After holding 30 minutes, the first representative's phone was working right, so she disconnected me.
