Horrible experience. I went in with a temp of 102.9 and was unable to walk or hardly move my body. Upon arrival they left me sitting in my room in a wheelchair and the nurse knew I was unable to move, asked me very rudely “are you gonna get on the bed I need to move that wheelchair out” I asked for help she was very rough and harsh with me. Fast forward, I was throwing up very bad, the doctor or nurse practitioner not sure which because I was so out of it, told me in a VERY rude tone “are you done because I have questions to... read more

So during this strange and unrelenting times, my mother went in for back surgery on Friday 17th. There was some nerves about the surgery and all the Covid stuff at first, but we settled in and all went great. Dr Phelps and his team did a wonderful job. We are beyond grateful for his wisdom and skill he and his team performed on her. The recovery team as well. As for the team upstairs on the 6th floor, you are beyond blessed. As the daughter to an 84 year old, first time surgery and to be alone during her stay you made me fee... read more

They are not testing their employees for Covid on a regular basis! I have great concerns as to why they are not testing their employees that are exposed daily. If this virus is being spread by asymptomatic patients then all Healthcare workers especially the nurses that are treating Covid patients should have regular testing as well as their families! Makes absolutely no sense to me!!

Business response:

Thank you for reaching out to share your concerns surrounding COVID-19 and our colleagues. We want to ensure you that our colleagues and physicians are following all CDC recommendations in regards to personal protective equipment (PPE) to avoid the spread of any illness someone may have. Additionally, everyone in our facility is following a universal precaution plan which includes all individuals wear a mask, social distance, practice frequent hand washing and cleaning all areas at an even higher frequency. Terrible hospital. My son came in With broken rib. Was given no blanket. No pain meds at all left in room over 6 hours. Discharge nurse was rude and acted like we were putting her out. Worst hosp ever!!! Do not recommend this place. All of the ER nurses and That dr should be ashamed of themselves!!!! Will never take a family member there again and will go as far as I can complaining. Thanks but no thanks Med city Denton.

My first experience at fawcett was as a nursing student doing clinicals. Something was off right away. Patients yelling and suffering as nurses and staff ignored them for the most part. They were labeled as difficult. My wife has had the unfortunate luck to have 2 major surgeries there. Her surgeon his surgery staff are amazing. This is in no way reflective of the hospital. After her first surgery she was in a room for 3 days with a roommate that Talked her ear off ate her food. When nurses and doctors came in there was no c... read more

Appreciate all the nurses & staf, they were all wonderful & helpful with me during my stay especially thank you to Nurse Regan that gave me some comfort words during a moment I just felt depressed. I must say I've been in hospital's in my past and this is one of the second hospitals I would recommend.

Business response:

Thank you for taking the time to share your story, Yanet! We are committed to delivering the quality care patients deserve at The Woman's Hospital of Texas and are so happy to read about this positive experience. We will be sure to pass along these kind words to our nursing staff.
