After years of knee joint pain and numerous procedures, it got to the point where I could not sleep or drive without pain. My daily life was affected and I was not happy. Dr. Elkus has replaced both of my knees within the last two years. The results are phenomenal! I have no painin either knee and have full mobility. I would definitely reccomend Dr. elkus to anyone concidering a joint replacement.
I have been a patient of Dr Elkus since 2008 or 2009. He has replaced both of my knees. He was honest with me before having my 2nd knee surgery and told me I needed to lose weight. We set a weight goal and once reach we set up my surgery. I'm 3 weeks post op and doing great. He and his team are great. After two knee replacements with Dr. Elkus, I could not ask for a better physician. In addition to his surgical abilities, he always listened, explained things well and gave me realistic expectations. He and his staff were always available if I had questions before and after my surgeries. In addition to being professional and knowledgeable, they were friendly and made my office visits enjoyable.
From the very first visit, we knew Dr. Elkus was a patient advocate. His office staff is efficient, courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. Very little wait time on appointments. Have had two surgeries and both went like clockwork, fast recovery and now I am pain-free. My husband also had a knee replacement with Dr. Elkus with no problems. I have been a patient of Dr Elkus and his Team for over 11 years. My first experiance with him was a hip replacement, 2013. He spent so much time explaining the process, it was a perfect 1st surgery, he has since replaced both knees. His knowledge is second to none, he is caring and compassionate. From day 1 he made me feel that his only reason to become an orthopedic surgeon was for me. He has surrounded himself with a Team who hold the same high values. Dr. Elkus did an excellent job on my shoulder surgery eight weeks ago! He is kind, attentive and explains procedures well. I am doing really great after he fixed my shoulder!
