He was very down to earth in explaining the procedure and rehab. He also has the best staff.
Dr Elkus gave me a new hip!! I am now living pain free!! From my very first appointment to my 1 year follow up, I could not have asked for better care!! He is personable, smart, and caring. He took the time to listen to my concerns and explained everything so I could understand. He is not only a great surgeon, but he has the best bedside manner! Hip replacement surgery. Two weeks later going strong.
First, Dr Elkus is a very gifted surgeon. After my recent hip replacement I was off pain meds after 3 1/2 days and I already noticed how much better my hip felt. Second, he is more than just a great orthopedic surgeon but also a very concerned and compassionate person. Outstanding in every way. Dr. Elkus has performed two knee replacement surgeries for my wife. Great results. If I ever need any kind of joint surgery, he will absolutely be the doctor that will do it.
I've been seeing Dr. Elkus for more than ten years regarding my knees. After trying other treatments, we agreed that a total replacement was needed for one of them. The scheduling, surgery, and follow-up went well. His office staff are personable, well versed, and approachable. The experience exceeded expectations. They treat you like a person rather than the next person in line.
Dr. Elkus made sure that I understood every aspect of the procedure that he was to perform. Recovery time was very short. He made sure I had everything I needed.
