dr Elkus demonstrated extreme professionalism, confident, and very knowledgeable. Bedside matters were 100. I felt so safe in his care. Awesome doctor.
Dr. Elkus is very personal and cordial. My wife had been to several Doctors before and none 0f them seemed to know her problem and Dr. Elkus new right away. He also has a great team that works with him.
I started using the dad Dr Richard Elkus in 2985 when an accident left me with a broke back and two crushed feet and ankles then Dr Mark Elkus picked up where his dad left off. I broke my leg and arm later on and Dr Mark was absolutely the best . I also just had carpal tunnel surgery and again Dr mark is just the best ! I would recommend him to anyone At anytime! There is not a better orthopedic doctor/surgeon in Birmingham in my opinion!
Dr Elkus was recommended to me by a wonderful PT, he is excellent! Everything from first visit to follow up was great. He’s caring, attentive and an excellent surgeon. His staff is great too.
I liked how he wasn't quick to operate, we tried 3 gel injections first, that didn't work for me. I then went in a few months later and told him I was ready. He was so great to explain the procedure, and what he would do, step by step. I felt like I knew exactly what to expect with the procedure and the recovery. His staff is amazing! Dr Elkus has done both of my knee replacements! His and his staffs care before during and after my surgery was excellent and I recommend highly recommend them! He also taken care of several family members and we all love him and the office staff! They treat you like family and I believe they genuinely care about me and taking care of me!
Dr. Mark Elkus did surgery to replace both my knees and I’m doing great! He and his staff are so friendly and caring! Dr. Elkus gave me a second opinion about having hip replacement surgery. He took the time to explain the pros and cons which helped me to decide. He is extremely knowledgeable and addressed all of my concerns. I am so pleased with the results of my surgery.
I went to see Dr Elkus for evaluation of left knee pain. I was examined by Dr Elkus and found to need knee replacement. I had been having some mild pain in my right hip and I mentioned this to Dr Elkus on my last visit prior to surgery the next weerk. Dr Elkus ordered an mri of the right hip. I felt like I had been shifting my weight on that side trying to help the pain on my left knee but Dr Elkus felt the mri needed. I had the test and prepared for the upcoming surgery.
