When we went shopping for a refinance of our Sun Coast property we were contacted by Mr. Benjamin ********* who detailed the various options we had available that included a VA Refinance option. Our existing loan company and two others that contacted us did not respond with as good a proposal as LoanDepot. We went with the VA refinance and in a few weeks we closed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I am going to be short and sweet with my review, because we have wasted so much time with these people already. We had a great initial employee that convinced us that this was the company to use, then we got the air brain. She asked for a copy of the drivers license 5 times. She never followed through on anything unless we contacted her to remind her or INFORM her that things were not moving along. She would not answer phone calls or emails. I submitted my loan application and was assured that my application was solid and there should be no problems. Later, the loan officer asked me the same question over and over about my income. Several weeks later, he stated that the analyst denied my application because they did not accept my income which I submitted my W2 and tax returns. Without this income, my debt to income ration did not meet their guidelines.He could not explain why it was not accepted. I work fulltime at a hospital and receive W2s each year. Our experience with Loan Depot was very positive and rewarding. I was unsure at first because of experience in the past but soon realized our agents, Ashley *** and Janette ***** were sincere and competent. We funded in December, 2017 and were more than happy with their service.

In the beginning I appreciated the Loan Officers because of their quick work getting the info together and it was easy to submit the info on my end that they needed. Unfortunately when I went through the details and cost of the loan, I had found that verbally it sounded great, but the numbers for loan origination fees were higher than expected. I contacted Loan Depot after seeing a commercial on tv. I had attempted previously to refinance my home to pay off an SBA loan on a business that I had closed. I was told my DTI ratio was too high even though I have well over $100,000.00 in equity and only needed about $20,000 to pay off the SBA loan. I spoke with Jason who was very knowledgeable and after I explained my situation he was determined that he would get me a loan.
