I recently read about a ******** post about lowering your mortgage rate and clicked into the link. I was immediately contacted by someone from Loan Depot. They quickly attained my financial information and ordered an appraisal to establish the equity we had in our home. LoanDepot charged us a late payment and placed an adverse “Delinquent Account” report against my credit reports (Transunion, Experian, and Equifax). The reason this occurred is because LoanDepot’s E-document system doesn’t inform the customer when E-docs have been created and posted on a 3rd Party Website within their Website. I just did a cash out refinance on an investment property with LoanDepot and the experience was a very pleasant. I have to admit that in the beginning i was a bit reluctant to do business with an out of state lender as oppose to my local bank because everything would have to be done electronically online oppose to having the luxury of going to a local office to submit all docs and files. I had a very positive experience working with the folks at LoanDepot and I would use them again. They did make one pretty big mistake that I caught close to closing and that was that they wrote up the loan in both my name and my ex husband's name. This loan was a refi into my name only and I had made that clear from the start. Besides that glitch (which was scary, given that we were on a deadline at the end of the year and my ex needed to sign the Quit Claim document on his way out of town), they were accessible by phone or ... read more

I needed to consolidate my debt & re-do mortgage loan in my name. I came in contact with Loan Depot via internet advertisement. I was ONLY inquiring since I needed to learn my options. I did have them work my numbers, this required giving my SS # & running my credit. I did explain I was not ready to make any final decisions yet especially being right in the middle of the holidays. RE: LOAN DEPOT I received a flyer showing an attractive interest rate for a mortgage refinance so I called for further information. I answered the representative's questions; and, told him I would only be interested in a fixed rate 30-year conventional mortgage with no points or closing costs. My credit rating is more than 800 and debt to asset ratio low. He quoted me a rate very little lower than what I have but more than the flyer advertised. Furthermore, there were fees exceeding $3000. This is a horrible company that will do anything to sell you a terrible loan and then turn around and change the rate. They do not listen to you and their customer service staff is full of cowards who have no idea what they are doing. Never do business with this company.
