When it comes to the mortgage business, there is loanDepot, then, all the rest. I just finished my second refi with them in less than 1 year. First time, 22 days from contact to fund. This time, 20 days. If you are willing to furnish them with the docs they need and e-sign items without delay, your file will move from Dept. to Dept. at warp speed! Susan McGuinness and Esther Cho are true professionals. The BBB needs to adjust their rating to A+++. I actually had fun with them, both times.
I have just completed the refinance of my home through Loan Depot. I worked with Mr. Brian Ramos, a very knowledgeable person. We chatted about what I was looking for in the refinance and after our discussion he suggested that I look at a VA loan,at the time I wasn't sure I could qualify but he checked and gave me the wonderful news that I could indeed qualify. I recently did a Re-Fi on my house with The Loan depot. Tye only time I was informed of what was going on was when they needed something from me. I would often get a call stating that needed another document ASAP. They don't realize that when someone is Re financing their home that they have a life as well. Everything cannot be had at the drop of hat. One would think that they would know what paperwork they need upfront instead of constantly needed additional information. We started our loan process with Loan Depot in November and didn't complete it until February. We were told it would only be 30 to 40 days. The sales department was great. Once we got to processing everything went downhill. We went thru 3 different processors and the last person we got was very rude. When I questioned him about why he couldn't call me to let me know he sent an email like they did from the sales dept he said "That's there job!" I strongly encourage anyone looking to finance or refinance their home to look elsewhere than this "company." Simply, I found a better mortgage deal through my credit union, after initiating the inquiry through LoanDepot. Long story short, I notified my LoanDepot contact to discontinue any further loan processing and that I would not be finalizing the loan with them.
