Recently refinanced with Loan Depot. It was the easiest process ever!! Really couldn't be happier. Not sure why the original loan couldn't have been this easy.

We recently refinanced with LoanDepot and had only wonderful service they were patient and always willing to help! Got back to us immediately with any questions and if they did not know the answer right away they would check with their team and get back to us. I even called one gal back on a Sun. and she returned my call. Our closing was effortless and they came to us to sign the final papers!! Just lost our dream home because they do not return phone calls, I have been calling since Thursday, today is Monday to get my approval letter that Shila Loan Agent stated she had for me. But after numerous call, text msg, voice mails she never called back and the seller accepted some one else offer.

RUN AWAY COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT AND LIARS . Its like a whos on first scenerio. After Hurricane Irma I was invited by a Loan Depot email to participate in a 90 day Forbearance plan. It said If I was affected by the storm I qualify. All I had to do was respond yes. So I did. The email was very vague but lead me to believe I could skip 3 payments and have 3 payments just added to the back of my loan. I then got an email saying someone would contact me. I wouldn't even give this company a star. They will deceive you just in order to make a dollar. I went to do a refinance we explained that we wanted a fixed conventional loan without buying down points and with cash out. They told us we would get about 20k out. At the end of the day they put in without telling us 4k for buying points down and we would only walk away with 6k. BEWARE read everything and do not believe a word.

I am a property seller with a buyer who had the misfortune of doing their loan through Loan Depot. The Lender missed the close date (with no estimated closing in site), changed the buyer's loan several times, and it's unclear if they satisfied disclosure requirements set forth by federal law. This lender represents everything that went wrong with the mortgage industry leading up to the collapse in 2007/2008. These lenders should be investigated by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).
