LoanDepot was superior throughout the process. They let you log into your own account to complete all of that "normally annoying" paperwork. You can also upload most of your documentation yourself. Their team was "On it", the whole time and kept me informed the entire time. We were able to close my loan not only on time, but even early! I would highly recommend LoanDepot!

My process was incredibly smooth. Jason was a great agent and quickly got my application through the process. Underwriting took quite a bit of time but with the 60 day lock, there was no concern about losing our locked rate. While most other companies were quoting 3.5%, LoanDepot was significantly below this rate and at considerable cost savings. We were applying for a loan and because the appraisal came in too low they just dropped us. We told them that the appraisal was incorrect and asked them to help us. We talked to 3 people and they all said we will check into this and call back and we received no calls. This is very poor customer service. They did nothing to try and help.

First off, for the skeptics out there, I wish to disclose that my negative review will not be based on me not securing a loan. In fact, I did close on my loan as expected. My review is simply based on the experience I had while going through this process. I started this process on August 14th having had plenty of experience since this is approximately the 10th time I solicited a loan for a number of properties I own, or previously owned. They are true to their word. Only complaint is in the final processing stage. Issues arose with time of funding and processor was was either unable to, or did not feel she needed to, explain why funding did not take place on date we were given, but rather a week later. It became necessary to send multiple emails to others above her station to get a satisfactory result.
