I started the approval process with loandepot, went through the entire process and was pre-approved. Was informed of the $495 appraisal fee and was ok with it but since I just had my credit card compromised I was waiting for a new card. They assured me this was fine. A couple days later, without my consent, they took the money out of my checking account, which want every an option for me, it would have never authorized that. Ok we applied for a refi,and pay offs on 2 credit cards with extra cash to get a better interest rate. Per email from loan depot the loan was funded on 11/21. Our old mortgage was not played off until 12/03, just late enough were had to make another house pyt. It is now 12/17 and still neither credit has been paid off and we have yet to see any of the cash. I have called numerous times and was told it's the title companies fault. I then called them to get nothing but voicemails with no return calls. I finally reached a recep... read more

I did a new mortgage with Loan Depot because we were happy with our first loan with them. What a mistake! This closed almost a month ago and they are still trying to access money from my checking account for the first loan (Closed). I call Customer Service and get the run around. Just got off the phone today with my bank and they tried to pull assets from my checking account on Friday...........DON'T DO A MORTGAGE WITH LOAN DEPOT. THEY SUCK.

I can't begin to tell you how horrible this experience was. We now have to go to our bank in the morning and to our insurance company that we have dealt with for 40 years each. They were changed on our insurance to be Mortgagee and set us to close on a certain day. They then changed our disclosure statement to show we needed $5000. more at closing.
