Very bad company, they try to trick you into commiting to their mortgage terms by telling they will match any competitor you bring along. You pay a deposit then make a mistake of giving numbers of a competitor. They threaten you with cancellation of the appointment and eventually you either go with them or you lose the deposit. Be very careful if have to deal with them.

we started a refinance through for our VA loan was told one thing for the interest and with out telling us they did it a higher rate witch would have not lowered our payment at all so I tried to get a hold of Lance Rios our loan officer and he sad get it at the rate he quoted but he would see what he can do well he got it down but not what he quoted me not happy with Loan depot at all we were told we would close and would n't have a payment till February but they took out a payment in January from out old loan which was thro... read more

Jay Ruess, Tamara Mahannah and the other LoanDepot people who helped me refinance did an excellent job and were extremely thorough making sure all the details were correct. This refinancing was more complex than others I've done in the past because I was paying off other loans, so it took longer, which resulted in overpayment of all but two of the other loans, so now I'm still waiting for 2 return checks, but I know they are in the process and should be done within days. Extremely disappointed with LoanDepot as a company. Started a process to refinance 2 properties with them in October. All documents were sent to LD within hours (not days) of being requested. My credit rating is greater than 800. I received Loan Estimates with Closing Costs between the 2 properties of about 8k which I was ok with. However, they were unable to close the loans before the lock period and it had to be extended 2x with each extension increasing the loan fees.
