They are a black box when it comes to refinance. They made me wait for a month and told me they cannot proceed as I have a work visa when NONE of their documentation suggests that such a requirement is enforced (it is definitely not a federal requirement as the government allows mortgages on work visas). Jennifer Alesi, my loan processor was very rude and basically told me not to tell her how to do her job when I asked for clarification. Their customer service is awesome until they receive your five hundred and something dollars to pay for the home appraisal. After the appraisal is done, they do not respond to your emails or voice messages for about 5 weeks. They continue to ignore you until after the interest rate lock expires. After it expires, they send you a new loan agreement that requires you to pay a lot more in points for a higher interest rate. I could not be happier with refinancing my VA loan with LoanDepot. I have used them twice and they were able to make the whole process seamless and saved me lots of money with a great interest rate and low cost to refinance. Loan Depot is a bad company to deal with. They are very slow. They basically derailed my refinance i had going with another company 4 months ago. They do not communicate, they delay for no apparent reason and come up with new requests for documents over and over. It is definitely a company to avoid if you want your loan or refinance done in a timely manner. They have cost me hundreds if not thousands of dollars delaying my refinance. I am still in the refinance process with no end in sight.
