This was my second refi with Loan Depot and the whole process was painless! In addition to the best rate out there (1.75%!!!), because it was my second refi in just under two years, my house did not have to be appraised, making the process quicker than normal. The loan was closed in about 7 weeks. The team that worked on my loan was always quick to respond to any questions, and the website to keep track of my loan was always up to date. Couldn't be happier!

Bad customer service. A gentleman, who identified himself as the loan officer's manager, called me around 4:30 pm Thursday Oct. 8, 2020; if he gave his name I did not catch it. He was condescending and inappropriately suggesting that I am making a mistake by not pursuing the loan with loan depot. I was willing to listen but his attitude was terrible, and I repeatedly had to reject his offers to reconsider before I had to hang up on him as he seems to refuse to end the conversation. I will never do business with Loan Depot again! There is no transparency, they are understaffed and did everything at the last minute. They changed my closing conditions on the day before the closing and screwed me out of seller credits I was eligible to take with no notice or explanation. I asked my mortgage consultant to escalate the issue with a manager. The manager had no clue what to do and now weeks after closing, no one has followed up after I have sent several emails seeking resolution. You are just another number wi... read more

I will never use loan depot again. They quoted me x for closing costs which I have in writing then they forced me to pay an additional $1200 3 days before signing or I had to cancel the deal. I felt forced to pay an extra $1200 out of pocket to avoid losing my home

I had a very bad experience with LoanDepot. They were very late in finishing their work, which caused a lot of irritation to everyone who was inconvenienced by the hours-long delays on the closing day. They also pestered me with a lot of requests on the day before closing during the middle of the business day when I was trying to do my job.
