The overall timeframe from start to finish was completely unacceptable (3 months), along with 12 closing disclosures that always were changing (we owed, then didn't owe, then owed). Every time we owed the amount continued to increase without rime or reason, plus there were fees being added for additional documents needed after the fact. LoanDepot provided me with bogus loan estimates in order to get my business. I used their provided loan estimate to try to get a better loan term from the existing lender I am working with. When my current lender could not match it, I stopped the loan process at 99% complete and proceeded to contact the lending officer, Eddie A******, who provided the loan estimates (two with different valuations - should have been my first clue) to go ahead and get my refi through them. Was shopping for refi offerts some time back. Went with a local lender. All done. Today I got a call from this company and the lady in the phone was extremely condescending asking questions and trying to convince me my refi was NOT complete. What a joke. She kept saying my refi wasn't finished as if I'm 2 years old. Then after dealing with that for 5 minutes out of courtesy I said "listen I'm not looking for a refi at this time" then she immediately hung up on me. No thanks, no goodbye. Nothing. They did great on my mortgage refinance. They were very professional, pro-active and engaged. They would be my first choice if I had to do it again.
The front end of the was loaded with communication - pushing rates, matched rates, and 'special' deals. This was great, but once the initial paperworks was signed I had a very hard time getting my questions answered. Some of which were extremely timely and I couldn't get an answer. Everything ended fine, but it clearly became a numbers game at some point and I would hesitate to do business again with LoanDepot.
Absolute Disaster. Worst loan /refi experience I have ever had. Credit was less than promised took the entire 60 days plus to close. Almost missed a mortgage payment because of the delay. Closing paperwork amounts were wrong, then I had to pay to wire the correct amount later. Got a congradulations letter re closing, only to get a frantic call two days later, asking me to get the bank to send the payoff amount and sent it to them as it still was not closed. Never Never again.
We used Loan Depot for a recent refinancing and couldn't have been more pleased with the company. We had a great experience; it was easy and moved along smoothly. Our agent, Gus W*******, kept us informed all along the way. He gave us a heads-up for what we'd need and explained everything to us in detail.
