I would not recommend LoanDepot. The process took over 3 months to complete and each time a document was provided, the loan details were incorrect. It was my responsibility to review the documentation to ensure that the numbers were correct because it was not being reviewed by the LoanDepot team prior to submission. Also, they attempted to increase the origination charges each month because the process was taking too long - which was at the fault of their team. Dissatisfaction is an understatement. Loan Depot is negligent and will knowingly misrepresent and make false statements. My client has been stuck in underwriting. Loan Depot continues to say the CD will go out. We're approaching 50 days and on our third closing date extension. RUNNNNNN!

Well things started well with my loan officer from Loan Depot, she said we have a match or beat policy anyways, Send me the LE and i'll submit to beat further - If they are even beating me here. What she gave me a loan detail and fee worksheet, which was way off, prepaid's and escrows were either missing, and the ones that were there weren't even close to what they should have been, and at the top it states, "Get an official Loan Estimate before choosing a loan." I started asking for a Loan Estimate. I sent her my competing ... read more

not sure what to make of them yet... I started communicating with them a month ago and they provided very good refinancing rate. but closing has been a nightmare. The loan was assigned to an account manager, and - bless her heart - she either has no idea what she is doing, or was purposely put on earth to make my life a living hell. I made two appointments for closing with two different loan officers twice this past week, and twice she screwed it up for me because she asked me for additional documents at the last minute and ... read more
Respectful, easy process...constant communication to help me through the paperwork and to explain every single step along the way. Stephen was such a pro...so different than the hired yesterday mortgage bankers we have dealt with at big banks.

This has been the worst loan experience of my life. I've had six changes in mailing addresses on the loan in less than a year. I get texts, physical mail items, and emails about home services constantly. Their customer service is good until you sign up - then you wait. For hours. I'm spending 3 hours trying to figure out why my payment was rejected by e-billing on my bank. Don't ever ever EVER use this company.
