Did our home loan through Loan Depot and for not being one of the big banks, I really felt like they did everything they could to make me happy and get me the best rates possible. Melissa C********* and her loan team were professional but also very much human to work with. Looking back, their loan process was one of the most frictionless I've ever experienced.
This company led me on either knowing they couldn’t close on the needed date or were so incompetent they couldn’t move the file through the close process efficiently. If you can’t close in 5 weeks on a standard loan with a prime borrower there’s something wrong. Multiple delays and excuses all along the way. Luckily I was able to move the close date, but others would have potentially lost out on their home. Beware of this company, they can't close - make promises they can't deliver on.

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the level of unsatisfactory customer service and professionalism I have experienced from LoanDepot over the last two months. I was leery when initially making contact with Chelsea and it seems that now I should have listened to my gut and ran the other way. Excellent service! Everything online through their secure portal. Kept me up to date on what was happening. Everything was transparent and above board. Very pleased with my experience.
Over promising and under delivering lender. So many delays, have to always ask for status. Would never use again.

Overall it was a good experience. My lending officer was quick in responding and very knowledgeable. Same with my account manager who was coordinating during the closing phase. She was very helpful and thorough. Helped speed up the closing. The reason for not giving all 5 stars is only because of the closing/title company. They messed-up the documents 3 times, and changed the numbers on me after the closing (after signing the papers). Their answer was we used the wrong number. Not acceptable.
