It seems to me that LD has the best mortgage deals, and can close fast, but since there is nothing for them to lose if they are late in closing, they don't mind putting things off. I did everything they asked extremely quickly (within 2h!), and they were still a day late despite being "very confident" originally that they would make closing. There was some personal attention, but I think it is hard for them to focus since their volume is so high.

I was pleasantly surprised to find loan depot to be as professional and thorough as they were. I have always re financed or bought my homes using an established bank. I highly recommend them. Very dependable and reliable.

We started with Abe S****** a licenced agent who got our names wrong on the application and now those aliases are part of our permanent credit report. Then added numbers into our loan application that were incorrect including a five hundred thousand dollar lien when we had none. The whole process was a nightmare. The fee's were high and we feel like Loan Depot took advantage of us. Then it went to Brittany R********* who had a hard time understanding the issues Abe created and had no patience with us. Very long and difficult communication process! What should have closed in a month took 2 months and our rate is still above the National Average. Was not worth the hasslel and aggravation we endured for 2 months. I would not finace again through Loan Depot.

Reached out to Mr Alex for a refinance loan, discussed the numbers and submitted application to initiate the process. Received a welcome package and some documents to be uploaded. Uploaded the documents as requested. While reviewing the Loan Estimate in welcome package, we noticed the Lender Credits are not matching to the initial agreement. Requested multiple times for an updated loan estimate and also for another interest rate option. I am filing this complaint against a lending officer (Anthony H****** NMLS#: *******) from loandepot, Foothill CA. Not only was his customer service lacking, the haughtiness and arrogance displayed by him was unbelievable! I was skeptical at the beginning about using an online mortgage company... I have done several mortgages and refinancings through the years, all with "traditional" banks or lenders.
