They added $150 to the cost of the appraisal for themselves and did not disclose not the cost of the appraisal prior to charging me ($550). The appraiser told me what there cost was and he said the LD decided to charge $150 for themselves which I find highly unethical.

My loan officer Michelle was fantastic to work with. She answered all of my questions and helped me understand the refi process. She never once made me feel stupid and I felt very comfortable asking questions. The whole process start to finish was smooth and easy.

Ammie personally came out to do our Final walk through & coached me through the entire process. She was practical,honest, up front with me & never left me hanging. We had done refinancing before and our experience with the Loan Depot team was excellent. Throughout the process we were kept informed on the progress of our loan, anytime we had a question there was always somebody ready to answer and nothing was changed from the original agreement on when we did our application. Around April I applied to refinance my home. Loan officer Nick told me he will definitely help me to get the loan. But $495.00 will be charged on my Credit Card for appraisal deposit fee. He mentioned to me multiple times on the phone "D'ONT WORRY' your appraisal deposit will be REFUNDED IN FULL whether you agree to take the loan or not... The company did good through the process but missed the closing date twice. This caused serious issues between us and the seller. Would not recommend.

The process was simple and easy. The docu-sign feature was very efficient, easy to use, and time saving. Communication was excellent and kept every thing up to date and smoothly moving along. I Was able to close quickly thanks to the loan team. I highly recommend them and would use them again.

I could not be more pleased with a bank! LoanDepot's online portal was exceptionally easy to navigate. Our banker, Eli S****, was extremely responsive and took time to explain things to us. He understood our timeline and did everything he could -- and succeeded -- in marshaling everything together ahead of our deadline. Their quotes came in lower than everyone else, even without haggling. Lower quote on the first shot. I was amazed -- dealing with LoanDepot was the best part of buying a house!
