The worst experiences with a refinance with loandepot so far! Over 2 months ago, I started talking to a loan officer to start a refi on my primary home. The 1st loan officer got my information and said he will get back to me with a quote. A week went by, never heard back! When talking to 2nd loan officer, he told me the file has been locked by the 1st LO. Got the ball rolling with the 2nd LO. The file was then assigned to an Account Manager. Excellent experience with the loan officer and the accounts team. The whole process was done very smoothly and I was kept informed of all the important steps. I would recommend their services without any reservations.
I had chance to work directly with loan officer to do refinance and the process was smooth. I like online app to upload the documents with electronic signatures instead walking or mailing the documents. Overall the experience was good.
Don't use them. I'm on day 49. I was told 30-45 days. I'm on day 49. I was then told we're on track to close at the end of the month.....guess what....today I was told it won't. Shocker. Don't use LoanDepot. They claim since they're so busy everyone is behind. Apparently that's my problem. Lol, what a joke.
I feel like there should be less then one star option avaible. My experience was nothing but one week of stress that ended with reporting credit card fraud because they completely ignored my tries of communication. And of course after my bank called them they call me back the same day not even with apologies but with excuses and accuses of misunderstanding the process. Applied for refinance (after receiving call from marketing rep) of VA loan currently with LoanDepot. After 10 calls with promises to call back, finally got Loan Officer. Completed short application for just rate reduction. Received all docs and submitted requested info. Waited nearly 2 weeks, followed for status on line and discovered loan was cancelled.
