Loan Depot's staff were easy to work with and they made our refinance experience pleasant and easy from start to finish. Our first contact was made on August 25, 2020 and the transaction closed on September 29, 2020. We have friends who began their refinance process months before us, and they are still waiting to close their loan transactions. Many thanks to Loan Depot's staff for a job well done!! I trusted with a BBB rating this company was going to provide us with professional service. We started refinancing our home in April, we came across an issue that took so much time to resolve due to covid that that lock expired and we were denied. We started up again all documents submitted numerous times and they charged my credit card without authorization for $495 for an appraisal we did not need or ever have (we had one in April) Emails & calls to them finally they did not credit the full amount but sent a check minus $5... read more

If I was allowed to give zero stars I would give zero stars. I applied for a refinance in July and at first it seemed like this was a good company. They were responsive to my calls, answered my questions, etc. As soon as I gave them money for the application fee it all went off the rails. More than three months later I STILL have not closed on the loan. My loan officer and other people assigned to my loan have been replaced multiple times. My calls go unanswered for days and up to a week at a time. I only get responses when ... read more

Stay away! They dragged our re-finance out 90 plus days. Approved us, then I think they declined us because our rate lock was too low. I think this company is a scam. I think the underwriting department is completely disorganized. I recommend you look at another company.

We have regretted using LoanDepot on so many levels. We started the process on 10/2/2019, and finally had the loan close on 7/29/2020. (A small, initial part of this delay can be laid at the feet of our loan broker.) Our refi was for 21% of our home's value, with our cash assets (excluding our home) six times that of the loan. The delays were beyond ridiculous, because of their delays we had to resubmit the same documents over and over and over again.
