Horrible customer service. They asked us to miss home payments, that caused us to be delinquent and ruining our credit score and our credit with our current loan company. We were also told to pay off multiple small credit cards ($140, $50, $499) and then had to make 3 home payments back to back($1,200 each). This caused us extreme stress, anxiety and hardship during this pandemic. We were told multiple out comes and in final I was forced into a corner. We had to back out of the refinancing. I think that the most important thing about this company is at what branch your team is located - I worked with the Clearwater, FL branch and my experience was hands down amazing. From first inquiry to close, my sales manager was with me at every turn, answering my questions and letting me know that he would be available to put together an offer letter even through evenings and days off. I have an excellent credit score, but in 2020 it appeared almost impossible to get financed for about 1.3M home purchase in Silicon Valley with 10% down payment. I just completed my second refinance with LoanDepot. Processing for both of them was smooth and uncomplicated. For both refinances the loan officer and the account manager were polite and succinct in my verbal interactions with them. They were nice and they got the job done. The notaries who came to my home for the closing signings were also helpful, courteous and friendly. I am very pleased with my LoanDepot experience and I would recommend the company without reservation.
