I refinanced with Loan Depot in October of 2019 using the VA IRRRL. Although I felt they gave me a great deal on my refinance, the experience was terrible. I had refinanced before so I understood that to do this you need to gather a lot of information. I thought the whole process went smoothly and Brad and Lyn were easy to work with and easy to contact when I had a question. I would recommend this company.

2nd refi with Loandepot in 6 mos. 1st was a breeze. The 2nd was anything but a breeze. Don’t know why but better communication between representatives would have helped.

I am beginning to questioning whether these actors are legit or anywhere near the standard of loan industry. They are very slow with responses, never reply or call back on time unless you do at least once or twice follow-up, they will give you repeated runaround asking for the same pieces of information that you may have previously already send. It will take more than 4 months still counting to get to closing. I am still waiting at this moment and my loan started in August 7, 2020. Stay away from these actors: Christopher P*... read more

There were extended periods of silence/no-communication. Three weeks seemed unreasonable since I spent so much time urgently providing all needed documentation and my credit score was near 800. Then there was the miscalculation or additional fee that I could not get an adequate explanation. This carried on thru the notary enroot to our home. Closing was delayed for 24 hours to have the added fee reversed.

Leonard and Dwinnie closed my loan in 14 days start to finish including an appraisal. They did a fantastic job. Appraisal came in low but nothing loanDepot can do about that they don’t have control over the appraisals.
