Horrible, horrible experience. On a whim, I was checking to see if I could refinance my home. I have a mobile home on over an acre of land, which I own. One company said they don't refi mobile homes. So I checked on line for loan companies that refi mobile homes and loanDepot showed up in my search results. So I called them and asked if the do mobile homes and I was told they did. Worst customer service. I made an online payment - while making payment, only less amount was deducted from principal and rest (a huge part) went to Taxes and Insurance but as per the previous statement, I don't need to pay that much taxes / insurance. I called customer service - after a long wait, she didn't know and transferred to another department. Even I wasn't connected immediately - have to wait a long time. I had a quit claim deed done which removed a spouse. this was 6 months ago. it was never recorded. I have left multiple voicemails, messages and emails. they were concerned with me refinancing but not about the most important part which was the quit claim deed. I would not recommend this title company to anyone. no one will answer your calls or call you back. be warned.

Horrible experience! They changed the funding percent on us because a deadline was missed, but you told us MULTIPLE times over several MONTHS that we had everything ready and we were waiting on underwriting. ABSOLUTE incompetence at every level. We really dodged a bullet, because of this we went with another company that funded us at 80% and we even got a better appraisal. Loan Depot is garbage.

Absolutely do not recommend doing business with Loan Depot. After initial interaction with a loan officer (really a salesman) who SEEMED knowledgeable and reputable and moving forward on a refinance-----everything since nearing the closing and already paying for an appraisal has been a mess! Amateurish and mishandled in every step. Closing numbers on disclosure constantly changing, even AFTER the closing. Nonresponsive to messages and letters. The icing on the caked has been their losing a check we sent in as payment. They i... read more

My wife and I started a mortgage refinance with Loan Depot in mid October 2020. The initial processing experience was good. Once the loan was handed off to a Loan Depot processing agent, things went down hill. It took until early December to get a closing date (which was not unexpected due to high volume)... and then we had 5 failed closings. A n email I sent to LoanDepot customer service... I had a question regarding something I was trying to do on my LD dashboard. Wanted to make a change to a payment amount, but was not allowed to. So I called LD at 6:28PM PT on Monday Dec. 28. I sufferred through all of your announcements for about 3 minutes before I was directed to press ZERO for an agent. initial response to request for a loan quote was excellent. Good competitive rate & fee quote. Everything following that start was poor. I was constantly having to chase the loan officers to get updates with many emails going unanswered. Form start to finish is well over 2+ months. I had to resubmit documents since they had lost them or they weren't filed correctly. I applied for a refinance August 17th 2020. It was a streamline VA IRRRL. The loan took 4 months to close. The communication was terrible. I could never get my loan processor, Sloan C*******, on the phone to find out why my loan was taking so long. I was only able to talk to the loan officer, Jonathan M****, who was just as perplexed at the time it was taking to get the deal wrapped up.
