I recently stayed here for a week and I was told to attend a meeting to bring me up to date on my vacation weeks. This was a scam because I was in the seat no longer than five minutes before the high pressure sales tactics started .The first sales rep tried to sale me additional points which was a long way out of any price range that I could afford.I told her that I wasn't there to buy anything. We were not "under the impression" that we could, as DRI Gold members, use our points to pay for maintenance fees. The salesman told us precisely that. He told us that this was one of the benefits of being at Gold level. At least five times we asked him if this was true. He assured us that it was. He was very specific in telling us that. We found out long after that this benefit is available to Platinum members. When we got home, we checked for several days to see when the points would be applied to the maintenance fees. High Pressure tactics. Total scam. They used Dolly P******* name to get us in there ! Had to get up and leave ! The gifts they promised us , we never got ! They use a shell game ! Kept changing papers with different figures ! Kept pushing for us to get a Credit Card. Stay Away, Total Scam !!

I really wish there was something lower than 1 star. I was suckered in to the $199 at the ATL boat show. We tried to go to Daytona, no availability. Miami, no availability. Ok...Nags Head it is. Of course, ocean front they say. Get the conformation by email...street view. I call DR and tell them it was supposed to be an ocean front room. In December 2017 we attended a meeting at Mystic Dunes during which the salesmen told us our maintenance fees were going up and that if we didn't act and purchase a different plan that our children would be liable for any debts should anything happen to us! This tactic worked at the time but on reflection, it was a clear use of fear tactics and lies used in order to pressure us into making a decision on the spot. I think this company is a rip off and their people are all liars. I called and they keep giving excuses and don't help when they are in the wrong they just want money and screw you over Please people who read this don't get sucked into this company This time share is a big joke and the people who work their pressure you and pressure you and promise things then they don't do what they say and they don't communicate but say they do and charge you late fees when they make the mistakes I would give them a FF rating I hope people... read more

When we first purchased the timeshare, it was to save money on vacations. The longer we have it, the more expensive it gets. Annual fees, club fees, maintenance fees - they aren't the same and they all go up. The salesmen never told us about these various fees, never mind the probability of them going up every time we turn around. What are these maintenance fees for? I have been a member of diamond since 1999, i just spent 2 hours on phone trying to resolve a problem talked to several people that i could not understand and they could not understand me. I was given a number and ext. to call back well good luck with that, ask to talk to supervisor well good luck with that. Wish i had never hear of diamond resorts. Please watch out for this company and what their people tell you. I finally called the HQ and left message, hope this works nothing else did.

Salesman lied when I bought my timeshare, said we would be able to exchange and go anywhere we wanted. The exchanges were never available, and the week we bought is a week that we would never use. Years later we've never used the timeshare or any of the "getaway" vacations they offer. 100% waste of money. Yet you can't give back or sell back the timeshare, the only option is to spend thousands of dollars on a lawyer to try to get out of the lifetime contract.
