My family has been a member of Diamond Resorts for many years. Our actual timeshare, from 30 years ago, was sold, and sold again- so it is now with DR. To date, each vacation we have taken has been with friends or family, and they all have been really great. We were in Austria, which was beautiful, Ireland- which is highly recommended, to name a few. I didn't want to give them 1 star! I went to HI with my sister who is an "owner" and had a great time. They offered a great deal for $149.00 for 3 nights 4 days on the mainland in various places. We purchased 4 of them. Three sisters and a nephew. We decided in December where and when we would like to go and have nothing but trouble trying to get them to make the reservations. this was the worst timeshare I have ever had! they were relentless. would not let me be alone with my husband and now they run my credit report incessantly and are trying to ruin my credit and it's not just a ping! it is full on report! What terrible business practices.
Diamond Resorts International is a scam. Their company lied to my wife and I repeatedly and scammed $500 cash, and $4900 on our credit report. Run! As far and as fast as you can!
If there were a lower than 1-star rating, that's what I'd give. My husband and I have happily owned an Amber Vacation Club timeshare for many years. Diamond Resorts recently bought out this little timeshare group. Getting any info to use our timeshare took about a year of calling and complaining repeatedly before getting any response whatsoever. Were owners at one of the Diamond resorts and finally turned the deed back over to them in utter disgust. Maintenance increased to the point that it was cheaper to just stay in a hotel where you could at least get a reservation. How a company can sell you a couple of weeks a year and then not have those accommodations available to you is beyond belief. How company is allowed to get by with these practices is a disgrace. I have been a DRI owner for several years. I have no complaints about the actual resorts. They have always been clean with friendly staffs. HOWEVER, beware of their sales personnel. From personal experience the vast, vast majority of the ones I've encountered are liars and con men. They will lie to your face, misrepresent, under represent, anything for a sale. If you want to purchase into DRI, and the resorts are nice, I recommend you record/video every encounter with any member of their sales team.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, DIAMOND RESORTS INTERNATIONAL. We stayed at a Sedona Resort in June 2018. We checked in late and tired after a drive from PHX. We wanted to book some tours so front desk sent us to the concierge for heavy discounts. This was the beginning of a nightmare. First tour was cancelled due to weather. We wanted to cancel the second tour but was told to pay the regular retail price to cancel. We opted to take the tour as scheduled but had to listen to the presentation.
