I called them about being locked out of a vehicle KeyMe gave me a song and dance about how fast and reliable they were.Then after I waited for 15 -20 minutes I get a text we don't have trucks available but still charged my credit card for now service rendered.

We are so sorry to hear the customer had a negative experience. Once we sent the notification out to our locksmiths, it is up to them to accept if they are free and available to take the job. It appears that since no one was in the area to assist, we refunded the order the same day.
Horrible service if I was able to give it 0 stars I would, the website says 29 min and I waited almost 2 hours I just had to cancel and get another company to unlock my car, never again going to use !

Most reviews here are regarding car key duplicates which can be complicated. I used KeyMe simply to duplicate and store my house keys. The other day I wanted to make a replacement key from a scan stored in the system. Very straightforward ask. Multiple tries and a call to customer service and the kiosk still was not able to produce a key. It kept asking me to insert what had already been scanned and saved--I wasn't carrying the key at the time and was traveling so drove 40 mins to get to this kiosk. KeyMe told me they had a technician in the area to unlock my car, (locked keys in car). Then, I receive a text message an hour later saying they couldn't locate a technician for service AFTER they already charged my card $123. I had to email for a refund. The refund was given, but the next day the charge APPEARED ON MY CARD AGAIN. I emailed again and they said it's a problem on my banks end. I called my bank, NOPE. No problem on their end. Deceptive business practices. They advertise as a local brick and mortar locksmith but in reality its just a key copy kiosk setup inside a local retailer. If you call their number for actual locksmith service, they **** up the price over 100% and pay another actual local business to go do the work

Crooks! How could anyone stoop so low. Locked my keys in my car. Called 800 Called number listed under KeyMe. Should have been suspicious right away. They said they had dispatched someone and asked for credit card info. I gave it to them and they continued to send texts saying they were trying to find a local provider. After three delay texts they texted they could not find a local provider but they still charged my credit card fir more than they said they would. I recently posted my complaint against KeyMe Locksmiths following a very unpleasant experience with one of their unsupervised sub-contractors. He charged me $ 435 for opening my door and installing a new $ 21 door knob. KeyMe Headquarters saw my complaint here and I was contacted via email by a series of HQ associates who obtained all the particulars. Within a week, HQ decided to refund me $ 300 which they did through ******. I was surprised and grateful for this.

Locked out of our house in this heat last evening. The dog managed to hit the door latch locking us out. Called KeyMe @ 5:52 p.m. using our neighbor's phone as we had no phones on us at the time. Were told a technician would be to us within the hour. Received 3 text messages: First one welcoming us to KeyMe. Bad service, Called to have a second car key made. they quoted me a price & said they would be out in 45 mins, even sent me a text said they were on the way. 40 mins later they text & say it will be 90 mins. So I told them i'll run some errands & see them in 90 mins. A half hour later the tech says he 5 mins away. So I have to hurry back. The key gets made, but no receipt.
