If zero stars was an option that would be my rating. I called this company when I locked myself out of my apartment. The woman who answered the call assured me they would be there in about 30 minutes, 45 minutes tops, then asked for my credit card number. I said I'd prefer to pay when the job was done and she said that was fine. Thank God I didn't give it to her because an hour later there was still no one there. Called another company and they arrived in 20 minutes.

We're truly sorry this customer had a poor experience with our service. While in most cases we are able to find a locksmith to fit our customer's needs, in this case we were unable to locate someone who could come quickly enough. We are truly sorry for the lost time this customer spent waiting, and are glad she was able to find someone to complete the job.
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! Especially if a third party comes! I was charged $229 for a vehicle lockout today. I was in my company vehicle, and the technician ******* me over, knowing I had to get to several jobsites. He called, and said he would be there in 30 minutes. He arrived an hour and 15 minutes later, spent 5 minutes opening the vehicle, then charged me $229!!!! Outrageous! When I asked for a number to speak with a supervisor, he gave me a bogus number that was actually an acupuncture clinic. When I did get the real nu... read more

We're sorry that this customer had an unsatisfactory experience with one of our locksmith partners. In cases where customers call from areas where we do not offer direct locksmith coverage, we transfer calls to a dispatch center who can connect them with an independent locksmith in there area. Unfortunately, in these cases we do not have any control over the pricing of the job in question. Regardless, we have forwarded this feedback to our locksmith partners and appropriate managers internally.
Do not do business with this company. They will quote one price over the phone and charge a different fee after they have left. When trying to resolve the over-charge, they justified it with "additional fees". These fees includes a $30 service fee, which was not discussed even when asking for pricing and a $26 fee for "drilling out a lock bore". This is in addition to the $225-$250 estimate that was provided by Sunshine Locksmith. After multiple calls they agreed to drop the $26 fee for drilling out the lock bore. When I con... read more

We regret that this customer had a bad experience with one of our third-party partners. Unfortunately we do not have control of the pricing set by these third parties, or any associated fees. While we are happy to advocate on our customers' behalf in these situations, though it does appear that Mr. H**** has already been in touch with the locksmith in question. Unfortunately in these cases we are limited in our capacity to change the policies and procedures of locksmiths to whom we refer jobs. In any case, we will follow up ... read more
Showed up quickly for a deadbolt install, unmarked vehicle, had to ask for i.d.. Didn't have tools to drill hole in metal door, so instead took out my doorknob and left me a deadbolt only. I have to open the door with the key - like the key is the handle of the door! The lock is stiff and hard to turn. Shoddy installation. They left me one key only, and for all of this, charged me $225. Now I will have to pay a REAL and PROFESSIONAL locksmith to come out and drill the other hole so I can have a doorknob. Cannot recommend, wi... read more

We regret that *** ***** had this experience. Based on her zip code, it appears she was likely serviced by a third-party partner. When we do not have direct coverage in an area, we will forward customers to a third party dispatch center who sends the job to local locksmiths. We're reaching out to *** ***** for more details on her experience, and will be following up with the dispatch center on her behalf.
Paid between $300-400 to have a lock installed. After about a year and a month the entire cylinder came out of the lock, indicating to me that the installation was poorly performed, as I have never had that happen to any other lock I have used in my life. This occurred during the beginning of the pandemic lockdown so there was a moratorium on nonessential work being performed in my building for a few months (this was considered nonessential as I was still able to use the deadbolt, a separate lock on the door). After the mora... read more
I ordered a key on 7/5/20 and after a few days was told the shipment would be delayed. On 7/12 I got an email from them asking what I thought of the key I had yet to receive. I emailed customer service and recommended that they update their system to not send out surveys if the consumer has yet to receive the key, to which I did not get a response. Today, 7/13/20 I received the key. However, it does not work. The 4runner simply turns but will not start. My original key works. I went and purchased a $220 battery and installed... read more

We are sorry that this customer's key did not work, and for the premature feedback survey she received. While we are typically able to copy keys for her make, model, and year of vehicle, there are occasionally transponders which we are not able to copy. Unfortunately, it appears this customer's key was not able to successfully be encoded, thus we would not be able to make a second attempt. In cases like these we provide a full refund. We're truly sorry for the additional inconvenience that this has brought upon *** ******.
Used Keyme to have a locksmith come to open my apt. Was told that since it was a deadbolt it would need to be drilled which would cost $219 + service fee. I told him that I didn’t want to drill and destroy the lock (under the impression the cost was due to the “necessity” for him to use the drill), so he then spent 5 min fiddling with the lock and opened it. Was then charged $248 for 5-10 minutes of work.

We're sorry this customer was dissatisfied with the experience he had with a locksmith after calling KeyMe. Given his zip code, it appears he was helped by a third-party service partner. In cases where we do not have direct coverage with KeyMe locksmiths in an area, we offer to transfer customers to a third-party dispatch center, which directs the job to a local locksmith. Unfortunately, in these cases we do not have control over the prices or fees of the locksmiths in question. We have submitted this feedback to our dispatc... read more
Does not make Car Keys even though their kiosks showed a Car Key with Remote and buttons on it. I had used a kiosk to duplicate a car key, was told they had to do it off site and mail it to me. The ad on the kiosk showed a modern car key, I figured it made sense this would need to be programmed and sent to me. A key finally arrived after 2 weeks and it did not have the transponder in it. It was just a flat metal key that would unlock the door but the engine would immediately cut off because there was no transponder signal. I... read more

We apologize for the confusion caused by our marketing. We offer a variety of services through our kiosks & locksmith partners. Depending on the coverage we have in an area, and the type of service a customer selects, different types of product can be provided. We strive to be clear on what type of product a customer is receiving after they have made this selection. We are glad this customer was able to receive a refund, and have forwarded his feedback to the appropriate parties internally.
I placed my order over a week ago and just got my key today. The fact that they did not make it in the 3-5 day window didn’t bother me until I got my key out of the package and it wasn’t remotely like my vehicle key for my Hyundai. I called customer service and the representative issued a refund without my request. (Which I am thankful for since the key does not fit). However, I asked how to fix the fact that they sent the wrong key and I was advised to just take my refund and have another key made and mailed to me. I was to... read more
