I was a 12 year customer of State Farm. I got married and bought a house and had to add my wife to my policy, so I requested a new quote from my agent listed on my auto insurance card. I was told I could not get a quote because my auto policy was at a different office because my original agent had died, and the policy would have to be transferred to the correct office. The policy was transferred to my agent's office and the office automatically made changes to my home and auto, they did not give me an updated quote or add my... read more

Horrible customer service. They are paying over 3000 for damage to my car but want me to pay $69 for a tire. The rude phone rep said because my tire wasnt new. Well my body panels and other peices parts were not new either but your insurant crashed into me and your replacing those. Absolutely ridiculous!

State Farm Claims State Farm will not complete the settlement process or communicate with me about my claim. My wife was struck by an elderly driver insured by state farm. They accepted responsibility. They offered a low ball settlement offer with several inaccuracies concerning the prior accident condition of the vehicle as well as left off vehicle package info. I've had nothing but good experience with State Farm and my agent. Prompt communication, updated tech for convenience. Premium is a little high.

On Nov.1 I was going through my bank statement and was frustrated by an extra payment that had been coming out of my account for the past 5 months of $292.00. I just got married, so at first I assumed that it was my new husbands policy, but when I did the math I realized that two large payments shouldn't be coming out of my account like that. We did not give Kristin the run around, nor did we treat Kristin like she were lying! State Farm billing department asks for the bank statements to show proof, not us. Dave Reighly Retired a year or more ago and his accounts were transferred to other Agents. Ours was transferred to Krina Mallgren located at Sprague and Evergreen Spokane Valley, WA. I am semi retired and my car is small and does not take up a full parking space where I work at McDonalds Restaurant 819 Sullivan Spokane Valley, WA. Their agents are nice and helpful, but any claims go to corporate, where you are dealt with like scum of the earth. Been a loyal customer since 1995, but luckily I will not be a State Farm customer anymore after the way my total loss claim and myself was treated. They have more than made up my small loss throughout having +/-5 cars insured each month. Run away from them as fast as you before you have to deal with a claim. It has been over a month and a half since my vehicle was in an accident. I give 2 stars to be nice because the ease of filing a claim and customer service has been helpful when I call but just completely disappointed that they are "trying" to find used parts for my vehicle which has maybe 8,000 miles on it. Just to cut costs I'm sure, now my vehicle has not even been worked on to this point. Very disappointed with State Farm, especially since I have been a customer for over 10 years.

After my brand new Honda Civic was damaged in a collision, State Farm refused to cover the costs of two electronic assessments that are specifically required by my vehicle manufacturer. Honda requires, if any electrical component must be disconnected in order for post-collision repairs to be performed, that the vehicle must undergo a post-repair diagnostic scan to confirm that the previously disconnected electrical components have been reconnected properly and are functioning.
