After 40 years with State Farm I had a tiny water leak that wound up damaging the ceiling in my basement. Along with a few pieces of artwork that leaning against the wall while I had been painting. State Farm has chosen to deny the claim based on 3 iPhone photos i sent. They never sent an adjuster or an agent or anyone. They said all the damage was caused due to neglect on my fault. I guess I should have torn the ceiling out or pulled the floor up looking for water leaks. Seems a bit absurd. I would definitely be buyer bewar... read more

Our state farm agent wanted us to add a person with a learners permit on our insurance policy they told us if we didn’t they would cancel our policy. So they did then a month and a half later they decided to reinstate the policy but turned around and charged us for the month and a half that THEY cancelled the policy. State Farm issued my auto policy $50/month MORE THAN QUOTED despite even confirming the accuracy of all my information with licensed rep. Because of the bait and switch, I cancelled my policy but a week later they STILL DRAFTED THE MONEY FROM MY BANK ACCOUNT. This is NOT a good way to conduct business, nor do I understand how that's legal. What a terrible experience. This branch contacted me while i wasnt shopping for insurance gave me an amazing rate i have 3 vehicles . Everything went well. 1st problem i submit my photos for my photo inspection and never spoke to anyone my dame coverage was dropped within 2 weeks of me switching companies. I call , and email. Theyll get back to me they are working on it. Then i get thru to stephen J***.... my rate at the end of the month is going to almost double what i was paying with my prior company. I was hit by a van that is insured by State Farm, I submit a claim to have my car fixed and my claim was put into a Claim specialist Que who wasn't even in the office. Miss Rondha G**** hasn't been in the office for 10 days. When I finally got in contacted with her today 5/24/18 to follow up with my claim, she was very condescending and abrasive. After a careless driver insured by Sate Farm totaled my car they tried to fix my car at a minimum compared to what it would have cost to repair properly. After multiple calls - beware: no one calls you, you have to call them - a month later they total my car which was obvious should have been totaled from day one! They tried to get me to accept this low ball repair offer. I had a very disappointing experience with the State Farm company and brand. Our vehicle was stolen and my agents were no where to be found. We were given the run around and were pacified to keep us at bay. I called/call frequently and would receive no answer. I am still waiting for answers going on close to one year past this accident. I am disappointed in the fact that throughout this entire ordeal I have yet to speak to my agents and that we are still pending services.

I've had State Farm for about 13 years and they've been one problem after another unfortunately. 1. Kept my value and rates high despite the economic recession of 2007-2009, refused my current home inspection and only considered the 9 year old original purchase inspection for value. Only after the county accepted my new home inspection for adjustment to my taxes, State Farm changed my value and rate b/c I told them I was leaving. 2. Horrible customer service. Claims adjuster hung up on me. I asked for a copy of our "recorded" convos (like the people say before speaking) & they claim they don't record convos. Only pays on damages fit for them. They claim my car's damages have nothing to do with the accident because it wasn't impacted by the hit itself ?
