I took our 2014 Silverado to Basil Chevrolet for what I thought was a problem covered under the 5 year drive train warranty. Come to find out, the grease boots on the front cv axles are not covered under the warranty, even though they are on the drive train. Hmmm? General Motors infinite wisdom there. First they told me to replace the boot was around $290. When I balked at that idea, the service writer told me he would check with the tech and see what they could come up with. I originally purchased my vehicle here with an extended warranty and often bring my vehicle in to be serviced all the time. My past few experiences with them have been awful! I recently brought my vehicle in for service for my AC unit. It took me one month to get an appointment because apparently they don't have people available to work on AC units often. I was told it would be 2 to 3 hours worth of work and it was recommended I bring my vehicle in the night before so they can begin working on it in the morning. The next day... read more
