I've been at JSUMC for four days with my 17yo son and will likely be here a couple more days. I cannot say enough good things about our stay! The staff have been so incredibly helpful and kind during a really scary time for us. From the ER, nurses, PCAs, residents, doctors, specialists, food staff, everyone has had a smile, a pleasant attitude and a wonderful bedside manner. But especially notable was the way the different departments communicated and worked together to figure out what was wrong with my son, and kept an anxi... read more

I’m writing yes to this but currently my Barbra Marshal is still laying in the hallway; has not received any medications to alleviate her pancreatic pain; has not had a sip of water; it’s been over 2 hours; she had a major medical injury that changed her life years ago while she was laying in a bed in a hallway exactly as she is now. This can cause severe flashbacks of what happened to her years ago... it can also increase her already concerning flood pressure... Please address this patient with care.... you have A SAINT lay... read more

Thank you for letting us know that your loved one was with us. Our team is committed to providing the best health care experience; we hope that we met her needs with the highest level of attention and kindness.
I know the hospital provides great medical care but sending a “How was your hospital stay” survey to someone who died from a horrible accident and having their parents break down again is not appropriate. They should do better than that
Business response:
Mr. Placek, please accept my condolences on the loss of your loved one. I sincerely apologize that you received a survey, that was a very unfortunate error on our part. If it's not too much to ask, would you kindly give me a call so we can prevent this from happening to another family. My telephone number is 732-776-4447. Sincerely, Debbie Curci
UPDATE- According to the Nurse Manager of Oncology, my husband is not close enough to death to warrant a visit from his children. I would greatly appreciate it if EVERYONE called Rosa Driscoll at 732-776-4190 and let her know this is a decision to be made between the parents and not hospital administrators. My husband was recently diagnosed with stage IV cancer, spending close to 2 weeks in isolation at the hospital, due to COV19 restrictions. Despite the repeated attempts by all his nurses, the security refused to allow our... read more

Alanna, thank you for sharing your concerns. We acknowledge and apologize for the frustration that you and your family are experiencing with our current visitation guidelines. Please know we will continue to actively work with you and your family to ensure safety for all involved. Thank you.
went here for my gallbladder surgery. They were extremely thorough, and Dr. Ahmed was great. Became a whole new person in a 4 day hospital stay. Thanks Jersey Shore!
There is nothing I can't HIGHLY recommend!! In Nov. of 2016, Dr. Maggio and his colleagues saved my life!! My surgeries were followed by a I.C.U. stay, then rehab. I am so glad and fortunate that the original E.R. I was in couldn't perform what needed to be done!! Thank You Jersey Shore University Medical Center for doing what you all do best, saving my life!! I will forever love you all!!
