This is a greedy corrupt self serving publicly owned and taxpayer subsidized lair of Datan himself. Not inly did the executive try to backdoor sell the company and our dirty mayor LENNY CURRY attempt to embezzle profits from the sale, but got busted, now you dirty scum are going to cut power in Florida in July to the poorest in our community. I hope horrible things happen to you despicable people!!!!!!

JEA charged me a $300 deposit when i began services and told me it’d be applied to my bill at the end of the 12 months. at 12 months, the deposit was applied to my bill as i was told. over a month goes by without a bill so i start questioning, especially since i get JEA emails giving me “saving water” tips and info on power outages 15 miles away from my area, etc. i get a call from my landlord saying my electric has been switched over to our water meter (our landlord pays our water) and we’d be charged along with this months... read more

JEA claims it's for the people and willing to help however I beg to differ. I just called to try to get a payment arrangement setup on my balance, and was told that since my "rating score" was low that I'd never be able to get on a payment arrangement with them. Despite still being in the mist of an global pandemic they are not looking to step away from the "rules" to help their customers! I think that it's utterly ridiculous, even throughout this I've made payments on my account..it may not have been in full but I've still ... read more

JEA is ripping citizens off to covers scams of upper management. JEA approved water service application with 2 days active promise but never kept it. After 4 weeks of follow up I was told I need to pay them to get service as they don't have water in their lines. I was quoted $610 per meter upgrade even though JEA is servicing those addresses. That itself is rip off, when time for installation came, rather than standing by their quite, JEA has doubled the charges and now asking me to pay $1260 per each meter. JEAA keeps behav... read more

What a worthless company. Don’t have a fraudulent account opened because even after you follow there rules they still don’t want to do the right thing.

I only use JEA because it's the monopoly utility provider in Jacksonville; and you don't have a choice. They are a lot more expensive that water and power providers in other cities/states. I guess if they would quit with all the scandals they are caught up in, they could possibly pass that savings onto the customers. *With that said I will say they do have good customer service; both the people who answer the phone and those in the trucks. It's their management that could use an overhaul.

I would like to thank JEA for potentially screwing me over my unemployment claims during this COVID garbage that I'm unable to claim all because one of your maintenance guys have broke something that cut off all internet access while you guys was working on a post across my house yesterday May 17th. Now I have to deal with a second technician from my internet provider to fix what you guys broke later today, maybe tomorrow as my deadline to claim is getting closer and I can't do anything about it.

Even in challenging times of stay at home where office settings aren’t ideal, Geraldine Whitaker went above and beyond to help me learn more about irrigation meters. Thank you, Geraldine, for your excellent customer service!
