Our bill has more than DOUBLED since the pandemic, with no explanation. We have lived in Florida for 20 years and know what time of the year to expect increases/decreases and how much it usually will be. “Hot weather” has NEVER doubled our amount or charged $100 more than normal. JEA you are a shameful company and I hope the city gets more options for utility companies to put you out of your crooked business!

Our bill went up $140 out of nowhere. I have had tons of other friends with similar issues. We did not run any utilities more than usual. Haven’t touched our thermostat. Shame on you, JEA!!!!

My electric bill doubled with no explanation. I understand it’s hotter outside and expected a slight increase, but not double, especially when I was out of town for over a week and turned everything off. This seems dishonest and like price gouging during a worldwide pandemic.

Over priced!!! Charge entirely too many taxes and random fees and even if your life doesn’t change at all your bill can fluctuate over 100 a month.

In two months, my bill increased $120. How does this happen? Residents who CHOOSE to not pay their bills on time are rewarded with $200, while those of us who CHOSE to pay our bills on time are penalized with increases. Great job JEA 🤬. Make this right for customers that pay on time.

My bill is starting to rise FOR NO REASON. I’ve had the same payment for more than a year and now what?? Does anybody have an explanation for it? It’s not like we are in the middle of a whole pandemic right now.

JEA will rob you and rape you blind! Our bills went up by no less than $100 over the last month! This is ridiculous because it’s either pay or be powerless! No warning, no explanation, they just do as they please! Disgusted because we are in a crisis and have children to provide for who’s by the way, returning back to school and has necessities we must purchase!
