these idiots just tried to do maintenance to the system while it was active in our neighborhood, causing the power to surge about 30 times in a row before shutting it off.

I neglected to cancel service to the house I sold and the new owner waited a month before switching services. When I called to discuss this the customer service rep was horrible. The whole time she was stating that it wasn’t their fault and that it was all mine. And when I asked what were my options she said that I needed to work it out with the new owner and that it was a civil matter. Been with JEA for 2 years. My utilities have doubled since April and nothing has changed. This morning the electricity was disconnected with no warning. Our fish tank overflowed all over the bedroom, and the security alarms went off. I couldn't disable them without electricity or internet. I called asking them to reconnect since I dont owe anything. The lady refused to help and sent me to a disconnected phone number. Horrible scamming company. 2nd time in 6 months I've had an issue. Back in March I transferred to a new home.... read more

Hello, I was out of my home for 17 days of my billing period due to a work assignment. That entire time, the only thing drawing energy was my fridge. Yet, somehow according to my bill, my usage almost doubled between July & August. This is unacceptable. My usual bill has more than doubled with using less than half the normal consumption. So any answer as to why everyones bill has jumped over $100 extra with NO change to usage? Some families during all this covid crap are actually try to make ends meet. This is wrong to do this.

5 hours no without power! No bad weather, no explanation, no updates online, when I called in 2 hours ago and asked for an update I was told nothing and then the lady very rudely said I don’t have time for you and hung up on me. Now when I try to call it just rings constantly. So much for 24/7 outage line like advertised and clearly so much for any attempt at customer service whatsoever.

JEA is a monopoly full of crooks, why make a payment arrangement when you honor your payment on the date you say you will pay and they turn around and cut you power of anyways. Is t it bad enough our bills are getting higher because of Covid now you disconnect people who actually paid there bill. I wish we had an alternative to JEA because I would recommend them ten fold over this monopoly or crooks
