I have been a loyal customer to JEA for almost 2 years now and so far I have been very satisfied with their services until today. On Friday there is a power outage for a few hours in my entire neighborhood. Once the power came back I discovered my TV and computer were not working. I filed a claim with my insurance company so they would take care of it since my policy covers those types of damages. The only thing I needed was a document from JEA showing that there was a power outage or some sort of power situation that day to... read more

My bill has been doubled the past two months ! Funny since I do not even work from home and my daughter is in camp all day so my home is empty Monday -Friday 10am -6 pm ! Explain why everyone is getting outrageous bills now ?

I thought maybe I was leaving the lights on too much or something then I saw literally everyone’s power bill has jumped $200 in 2 months. Makes no sense at all. We’re already struggling but no, it’s fine, go ahead and screw us over further. What if we all just didn’t pay? Then what?

It’s not rocket science. It’s been a extremely humid year. Take stress off Aircondioner by getting a dehumidifier

$100 increase this month, why?! Call the lines, can't get through. If by some miracle you DO get through, calls immediately disconnected once you mention billing. Fix your price increase!!!

JEA has raised bills following the pandemic credit given to 24000 people. WJXT has a reporter looking into this, but there are hundreds, if not thousands, of complaints from locals saying their bills went up while some of them were out of town, turned the A/C off, were home alone... My bill went up $100 and we have used less A/C and water than the months before. Last year, my bill for this month was about $240 and this month it’s $350!! JEA is an illegal monopoly but in Jacksonville you have NO OTHER OPTIONS.

I set up service online to start on 4/9/2020. Just received notice that I owe money even though I have paid all of my bills online and on time. Come to find out JEA had a glitch in the system that did not include my apt # when I set up account online during COVID. So now JEA wants me to go back and pay 4 months of bills because of their glitch. It is 7/31/2020 and we are talking over $400. Ridiculous!! Very bad service!!! Customer having to pay for JEAs' mistakes.
