They are taking advantage of people because it’s the only choice we have. There is no competition so they can take advantage of you. Life gets in the way sometimes. I was so busy last month thought I paid the bill and forgot. They cut off the electric. I paid it immediately and now they are sending me a bill saying I have to put down a $532 deposit. THESE PEOPLE ARE UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! Mind u I have only forgot to pay the bill one time ever. No warning notice just here’s your $532 bill? IS THAT LEGAL!??,

Bad people working there. Gina Smith is especially one of them. Otherwise, service is average.

The worst reliable power in the USA, next to Puerto Rico. Also, their meter was broken at my house and I was getting huge water bills. I kept complaining. They finally replaced the meter. My bills went to normal and they refused to credit me for the stolen money for water I didn't use. This company SUCKS. Please make it private and accountable to someone.

JEA is the worst service provider ever. They base your services and bill according to the previous resident. I had no previous bill on my account but to move into my current resident I had to pay over $700 because of how the previous tenants payed their bill. How fair is that? Their rates are extremely to high but they get away with these things because they have no competition and they know that we the people need electricity to survive so we have no choice but to pay it.

Extremely unhelpful and rude customer service. It’s very clear that they do not value or respect their customers and are willing to lose business just to make a few extra bucks.
