They're a monopoly. There favorite adverb is unfortunately. Our drinking water is unsafe and one of the top ten worst in the nation. Yet they raise their PR campaign to new heights annually. Who pays for it? Why of course we all do.
,My bill has gone up over 100.00 dollars the last four months. 460, 560, 642..752. and July 840.00/ Two people, live here, I have led bulbs, I am 68 and keep air at 78 degrees and off at night/. I don't even flush each time, no tv, unplug unused appliances and still, my bill is more than my mortgage for the last two months. They are ripping us off. I also live near a river and I think JEA is raising bills to get you to sell your house helping the city gentrify the area., These people are crooks. The city is useless in overse... read more
They come around to do work on the power lines and what not in the middle of summer in the heat of the day. Literally at the hottest time of the day they start doing work and cut everyone's power off. I have kids! I have a baby! They get over heated easily! And this ruthless summer heat is heating my house faster than an oven! What the heck is wrong with JEA!!!! Do your work in the morning before it gets too hot or in the evening when it's already cooling down!!!
Threatening to cut my power off in 100 degree weather? We have never missed a payment. But since a jaw needs to be replaced on my home at the meter I have to shell out $500 to get a permit and an electrician to fix it within 10 DAYS because it is unsafe? Screw you JEA! Wish you didnt monopolize utilities in Jacksonville so I could kick you to the curb. I'm going to call the news as well and I urge others in this situation to do so as well.
Power went out today at 4am for no apparent reason took them 2 hours to send me an alert saying a crew had been assigned to fix it. Initial restoration time was at 6:31am then it went to 6:51 when I finally got the alert. Now it's 7:40 and still no text saying it's been restored. Jea is worthless!!!!!!!
You people destroy people's credit, I was charged for 2 months of power in a house that I wasn't living in. And you're "customer service talked to me like I was trash" you people have a monopoly on this city and I believe karma is coming your way
