I purchased thousands of dollars worth of furniture from the IKEA Brooklyn location. I went to the store today to return a Hemnes daybed that broke while my daughter was on it. i didn't have a receipt, I was told there was nothing they can do. Nothing. Not get me a replacement part, not look into it. Just nothing. a $500 dollar bed I purchased a few months ago was now garbage, and it's obviously from IKEA, so I dont get it. Anyway, from now on, no big purchases from IKEA for me .

I'm a long time IKEA fan, I even worked at IKEA for a few years when I was younger. We ordered the basics for our house after my family relocated into a mostly empty house on Thursday. Today, the delivery contractor from XPO showed up with 20 out of 28 packages, missing the sofa, chair and our our bed and mattress (the kids' beds have arrived). The food is great and the cake too.
Online order: issues with delivery (delay of 2 days because of NAL) and unfriendly customer service (I’m not even mentioning the HORRIBLE customer service at NAL). Today in store: TERRIBLE service, extremely rude and unfriendly cashier. IKEA USA: never again!!!
The worst Return Dept. Rude, surly, unhelpful. "I don't know" is the standard answer. Not "let me find out" just I don't know. Wait time is ridiculous. Elevators not working. Already posted several reviews and emailed corporate. Keep your Ikea Family card. Done.
