RecommendedIKEA is my favorite store. I love all their products; specially their kitchens. Everything is modern, attractive, practical, and reasonably priced. We even go there just to browse; it's such an uplifting store. And we love the cafeteria.
IKEA (Charlotte, NC) you have THE worst Customer Service. You do not answer you Customer Service number, but have an automated voice say “we are experiencing heavier than normal calls at this time therefore we cannot take you call.” What the heck is that?? Why not leave me on the line and let ME, the customer, decide how long I am willing to wait? Do NOT purchase the IKEA kitchen appliances I bought them for my custom IKEA kitchen in my SECOND HOME (which means rarely used) and now that the warranty is expiring - which is CRITICAL these things break every 2-3x I try to use the oven and microwave - there is NO EXTENDED WARRANTY. So I will get them fixed one more time --- the parts alone are $600 and rip it out and replace it once they break again. Closed because of a little rain and wind? The worst of the storm was days ago. Stores around IKEA including Starbucks and Burlington Coat Factory we’re open but ikea was not. That’s bad business.
Lessons learned this month from IKEA: If you cannot walk out of the store with every single piece of the furniture you purchase, DO NOT ORDER IT!!! Do not expect your order to be delivered or to be able to pick it up. We ordered a loft bed for my daughter’s 13th birthday present on 8/18 and have been promised SEVERAL TIMES it would be delivered but we have not seen it yet and still don’t know when or even if we will get it. SO DISAPPOINTED!!!!!
I will be needing a refund for the delivery charge for my couch. I also think it would show good customer service to also receive a partial refund on the product for all of the hassle this caused. Greatly disappointed in my experience. Purchased a few hinges in the kitchen cabinet department. The girl there was awesome and service top notch. I was suspect when she suggest that I pay for my items with her “so I didn’t have to wait in those long lines. ” made my purchase with her and continued through the store picking up some odd and ends.
