Just had the WORST experience at Ikea in Brooklyn. After a few minutes of browsing an announcement came on the loudspeaker saying all shoppers had to evacuate the store. You'd think the store would have some kind of safety protocol in place. NOPE. Employees were utterly uninformed of what was going on/what to do in the state of an emergency. I have been literally CHASING the customer service, regarding a refund. Last communication happened May 30 - refund was promised within the next 10 business days. 60 days have passed and NOBODY has reached me to explain what is going on. Emails are not answered unless they are sent from an unfindable form on the website and - as always - nobody is responsible. UNBELIEVABLY POOR SERVICE LEVEL
Good to see I'm not the only one with a shocking IKEA experience - XPO have now failed to deliver our furniture 3 times, each time with a flimsier excuse. Takes 90 minutes to speak to anyone at IKEA and no-one seems able to do anything about it - general incompetence and poor customer service. I've shopped IKEA UK for years and always recommended it, but IKEA US is a disgrace, and will never order again.
I will never ever buy anything from Ikea again. Scheduled delivery today, confirmed on Sat for today hubby stays home from work and no call no show. I call and they state sorry we don’t know when your order will be delivered your parts are not in yet. Speak to a manager who was absolutely useless. Omg I have never experienced anything like this. Do not use Ikea for anything but a scrubbing brush. So upset with them!!!!!!!
