IGS energy increased my rate without sending me the required communication. I called on 1/26/23 to inquire about the increase and the rep, *******, advised that they sent me letters in Feb and Mar 2022. I requested she send me copies of the letters that were sent. I also cancelled my service this day because the rep spoke horribly to me and hung up on me. I have a very similar issue with IGS. I was visited at my home by one of their sales reps. After he explained that my gas supplier had been purchased by IGS he offered a fixed rate for me to lock into. I made the mistake of signing his IPad form with the understanding that a contract would be scanned to my email that day or the next so that I could review and cancel within a 72 hour period (I’m not certain on the time frame). We just bought this house in November. Unfortunately, I got this IGS solar contract from the previous homeowner. My husband and I still live in the same place but sometimes we went to fix this house that has IGS solar. We stay a couple of days, sometimes less than ten days. In April of 2021 An Vision Solar/ IGS employee ***** ****** forged my signature on a contract by using a signature I gave them permission to provide me with a quote/ estimate to install a "Buy Back" electricity system. A month goes by after I approve to be given a quote. A Vision Solar crew showed up to my home while I and my wife was at work. They installed the system in one day. RUN. Run far away from this company. Signed up once before, was told there was NO ETF. Canceled due to the county supplying a lower rate. No issue. Guy from IGS kept stalking my house & my number. Very creepy. Fast forward to last summer, signed up from a door person. Was going over all information and was told yet again there was no ETF. Could not read the print due to a migraine so I feel he used me. I was told that I would be in a fixed rate and my usage would only be billed through them now. But I get my bill and I am being billed for usage from 2 parties on the same amount of usage. I go to cancel my account and am charged $199 for cancelation. Do not sign any contract with this company. Ohh btw my my bill has tripled after signing this contract.
In August of 2022 An IGS employee ***** ******forged my husband’s signature on 3 contracts - gas electric and home warranty without my husband’s authority , consent or permission. My husband has never seen or spoken to any IGS employee or agent ! The fraudulent contracts were for 3 years - and were extremely overpriced , 2X higher than other companies for both electric and gas and included early termination fees of $200 !!! Very much a scam. I signed up during the summer for a fixed rate and was told I would save money as the variable rates increased in the winter. I have paid more than I ever have for gas over the past two years at the variable rate. When I called to cancel, they charged me another $200 to cancel. Be wise. Do not sign up with IGS.

My last months bill was$600.00, It has been warm weather and I have baseboard electric heat which is individually controlled at each heater and some of the rooms in my house weren"t turned on for the last few months because of it not being so cold. The house is fully insulated and past bills with Duke Energy in the winter were never this high. I wish i would have never switched from from Duke to IGS Energy.
