DO NOT fall for these thieves like I did! I am embarrassed and livid. They will send someone to your home as if you are already their customer. They will make it out like they are simply explaining your rates to you as standard procedure. You won't see the CONTRACT that they trick you into signing. Once you realize it's a giant scam, it will be too late to cancel without having to pay the "early termination fee," as they only give you 7 days to do so. I had an IGS Energy representative come to my door and tell me I need to renew service to save money. I had a bad feeling I was going to be scammed, but I was essentially forced to call my electric company and talk to them about my supplier. The employee was in my face, touching my phone, and refused to take no for an answer. I was very uncomfortable and eventually had to ask her to leave. A door to door representative came to my door. I made it clear that I’m not interested in changing my electric to a third-party. He was so persistent as I explained that I don’t have time. I asked if he had any paperwork on this program so that my husband and I could look into it but we would be not make any decision at this time. The man spoke to my husband at our house. I was not home. He called me. The man lied and said IGS was my service provider. I was scammed. I cancelled services in given time. Now I’m told I didn’t cancel in time and have to pay $200. This is all a horrible experience to go thru as a Senior Citizen The gas is in my name. I didn’t sign anything.
the salesman came to my door when i wasnt home, he covinced my wife that we could save $, she signed something , only to find out my gas bill was $50 higher in jan, than usual, when i called to cancell they told me it was a 3 year contract, and i had to pay a $200 cancel fee, after speaking to a supervisor who wouldnt waive the fee i told them i want OUT, so its gonna cost me 2 more months plus 200

Do NOT go into business with this company! For the love of God save yourself! We’ve been duped, lied to, and used in this process. I wish we could be out of this lease. For starters the guy that came to our house lies the entire process as we were excited to look to save money using solar. We wanted to buy the equipment clear out and we’re told we could- that was a lie. Then that we could get out if not satisfied- that was a lie. Then it took them 5-6 months to install. My bill has doubled and has become so high by their charges that I struggle just to pay my regular bill. NO ONE i have talked to about this company is impressed and they wish they never got involved with them. I wish i didnt either! They havent saved me anything. They have cost me more than I ever paid before!!!!!!
Someone came to my door shortly after I bought my house, claiming they had lower rates than Duke, claiming there was no early termination fee, the whole nine yards. I didn't know any better so I signed up. Their rates are MORE expensive than Duke, if that's even possible. Then when I called to cancel, there is a 199 dollar cancellation fee PER ACCOUNT. I had to pay 400 dollars to get out of my 2 year contract with this PREDATORY company. They take advantage of young folks and folks who are nice enough to answer their door. D... read more
