Ashamed to admit I fell for a "free solar from the government" sales pitch, secretly disguised under another company. A representative came to the door after contacting a number from a ****** search ad. After signing away, I soon found the account info of the same credit card that was used for auto payments to have suddenly changed. Im writing to counter the negative comments about IGS Solar. I wont bore you with all the details except to say that I received a call from a telemarketer that IMPLIED they were with Duke. The person asked if I knew anything about solar. i responded with several questions that could only be answered by a representative, so I scheduled a visit. This company treated my family and me very badly. They have been charging us a variable monthly rate that is extremely high (.99 versus .53 for ***- their rate is double the *** rate!). I canceled my service with them, and I received a **** for $305 which they said was the true-up on my account (I use budget billing). This is way out of line! The hole company is a scam!! You cancle in writing and they don't execpt the letter. They don't answer ther phone and ther emial is a no reply mail box.

IGS Home warranty is a scam. They charge 35/40 a month. I had a sewer line break and they refuse to fix it because the garage behind my house is hook to it so if you share a sewer line with another building working or not it is not covered. How are you supposed to know this before you dig. So I have been paying since 2018 to cover something they can't cover. This representative backed into my driveway as hes obviously been told to leave quickly before and set himself up for a quick exit. He knocked on my side door that is never used and not lit. Meanwhile my front porch is well lit and has a working doorbell. Also a HIGHLY visible No Soliciting sign. When I opened my door and said hello to this idiot knocking on an unlit side door, he was like a deer in the headlights. This company is a scam. They sign you up and give you a good rate initially. Ive been a loyal customer for 6 years, and all the sudden I actually check up on my account and find out theyve been charging me over 30% more than BGE. The customer service rep ***** even care when I called, just said ok so do you want to cancel? Unbelievable. Scam and terrible customer service.

Vision Solar and IGS works together, I called it a bate and switch game. I am over 80 yrs old and I was told this was a government program and I was qualified to receive Government Solar with no money out of my pocket, plus I qualified for a $500 certificate. My electric **** would never be more than $101.00 per month, the **** has gone up to $104.18. I was not told I had to also pay Duke energy extra money, which has doubled my energy ****.
