I got scammed into changing my natural gas supplier from Columbia Gas to IGS. The salesperson wanted to do the same with my electricity supplier. Want to undo the scam and have Columbia Gas returned as my supplier.

We've been with our GS for a couple years and the rates just keep going higher and higher their rate is almost as high as my electric bill which doubles my payments and when we try to say we wanted to cancel them they just kept threatening us will not return calls trying to figure out how to get out of this contract when we try to that catch harassing us on the phone day after day and refused to let us out of a contract unless we paid them more money I think it's b******* they need to let people out of the contract or let us... read more

Bottom line up front – Do not give these people your money or your time. I signed a contract with IGS for residential solar installation in December 2019. In February 2020, solar panels were installed on my roof. It is now June of 2021, 18 months after we signed the contract, and the panels HAVE NOT BEEN ACTIVATED. No power has been produced. IGS is doing door-to-door solicitation in Oakwood of residents on the do not solicit list. Rep was very persistent, had owner inform to sells removed and wanted me to give him my information. No, and buh-by.

A salesman Dylan D****** from IGS Florence Ky office came to my door March 8,2021 telling me I had requested information on their green program. I had NOT. He then proceeded to tell me he could save me money if I switched to IGS' s fixed rate program. He also said my rates would increase because of the tragic power outage in Texas due to the storm. IGS sends door to door salespersons to your door, they claim that your energy provider contract is about to expire and the supplier will be put up to auction. They then claim that in order to "maintain the service you currently have" (direct quote) you need to provide your account numbers for gas and electric. They even go so far as to show you a dummy gas bill with IGS on it, pretending like your current bill says the same thing. This company is the worst warranty company to deal with. My hot water heater went out. They sent me to **** ****** to get a new hot water heater. That company did not do their job properly and charged more than they should have. So with the warranty I ended up paying more than if I called someone myself. I started having problems with water coming up to the hot water heater. This problem was suppose to be fixed and wasn't. **** ******told me I was pass my warranty and IGS says we dont cover that problem. So now I have to get... read more
My electric bill has lowered by over a third since dropping IGS Energy. They are a rip off and will harass you EVERY day if you owe them even a small balance - they are ruthless! My advice - stay away from this company and just keep your current provider!! If anyone decides to start a class action suit against them, I'll be one of the first to join!!!!!! ***** **
