Not luxury at all. Dirty. Dusty. Crusty. No amenities, view was ok. Pay for everything!
Not the place to stay for social distancing. They do not enforce masks despite signage. Fully half of the people walking around the hotel had no masks on. Almost every time my fully-masked family (toddler included) got on an elevator, several unmasked people piled in after us despite signs saying two people per elevator...and the elevators weren’t big, so we are talking 6-7 people shoved in a small one. I will never stay at this hotel again in my life. My husband and I should have turned around when we walked in the front door and got hit with a strong smell of gas. They do not tell you about the hidden fees upon registration. $17 per day, $200 deposit held, and you pretty much pay for your room upfront which was around $384. Hotel needs to be updated parking garage doesn’t look safe
First off let’s start by saying this was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had in my 39 years of life. I planned my daughter’s bday gathering at Hotel Derek which let me mention i don’t feel like this is a kid friendly hotel upon arriving at check-in time there prostitutes & drunk people walking throughout lobby and pool area; pool closed at 8 pm.
