not worth the money at all way over priced, dirty, and in disrepair. Windows were filthy. Purchased a special package that they seemed to keep forgetting about, not to mention we were promised valet parking to be included it was not. Room wasn't cleaned well bed was torn on the edges. Seems like they'd put some of the high cost and fees back into maintenance and repair but that clearly hasn't happened in many years. We stayed in hotel Derek for 13 nights , it was the worst ever!! It took us 50 minutes to check in after a 21 hour flight , because they couldn’t find our booking , the rooms are unclean they never cleaned the room they only change towels . Other than that the rooms are very noisy and when we called to complain they asked to change rooms at 2am !!! The front desk is a mess and extremely rude I have never seen like that before. I will never recommend this hotel . I can’t explain how uncaring the staff are.
RecommendedThe management and staff at the Hotel Derek went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We will always stay here when visiting downtown Houston.

I’m honestly disappointed in how much I spent for this room. Don’t get me wrong, the staff is amazing! But the ‘sky king deluxe’ was NOT worth what we paid. We just basically paid to be on the 14th floor and that’s it. The pool is ridiculously small, no way more than 10 people can fit comfortably, and the elevator was broken the morning we checked out.
