Where to begin? Our hotel room appeared clean when we checked in but we quickly realized it was filthy. There was a big glob of the last guests conditioner and dirty feet prints in the shower. There also were still old rose petals left on the floor. The must disgusting remnant was a lovely streak of dried blood on the sheets. No, it was not a stain. The power went out at one point and the cable never worked again for the rest of the night. This used to be a super nice hotel and I’m disappointed to say we won’t be returning.

the only thing good about the Hotel Derek is the staff. the clientele has gone down hill like much of the Galleria area. we were surrounded by weed smoke and it was very hard to distinguish from skunk. Jovanna at the front desk was aw a some and the bartenders in the restaurant were interesting conversationalist.
Awful! Nasty! Dirty! Not for everyone that's for sure.
had an amazing stay last night. from the friendly valet and the amazing help from the front desk. Had the perfect romantic night. Will definitely be back soon!
Instead of elevator music, in this Hotel you listen to Eminem or other Hip hop. This Hotel has some swag to it
The view was amazing from my room!!
Spacious and peaceful. Great view, modern but comfortable.
